Engr. Sulaiman Tanko
Director, Mafa Integrated Farm
Engr. Sulaiman M. Tanko is an accomplished professional currently serving as the Maintenance Manager at Mafa Rice Mill. With a strong educational background in Mechanical Engineering from Bayero University, Kano, he brings a solid foundation of technical knowledge to his role. His dedication to excellence is further underscored by his certification from the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), demonstrating his commitment to the highest standards of engineering practice.
With over a decade of hands-on experience in the field of industrial engineering, Sulaiman has consistently proven his expertise and leadership abilities. Prior to his role at Mafa Rice Mill, he served as the Shift Head of the Mechanical Unit at Dangote Cement, specifically in the Kiln/Coal section of the Obajana Plant. This extensive nine-year tenure allowed him to gain invaluable insights and skills in managing critical operations within a complex industrial environment.
He was actively involved in the commissioning of Obajana cement plant, line 3. He was part of the team who installed and commissioned Obajana coal cement section.
Since joining Mafa Rice in January 2021, Sulaiman has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth and success. His contributions have been instrumental in the successful commissioning of significant projects, including a 300 Metric Tonnes Per Day (MTPD) Milling Plant, a 40-tonne Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Gas Plant, and a robust 2-Megawatt Gas Generator. These achievements highlight his
capacity to oversee and manage complex engineering projects, ensuring their efficient operation and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
